Usually I focus my attention on the disturbing ways sexual and gender minorities are treated in youth rather than as elders. Challenges I faced as a young person compare as poorly to our youths’ as to our elders’ challenges in their early years. LGBTQ communities face(d) so many obstacles to acceptance. I am humbled by the heroes in every generation and population fighting against marginalization.
